Traffic Collision Avoidance Course (TCAC)
This 4 Hour TCAC Course (Traffic Collision Avoidance Course) is taken to meet your DHSMV mandated TCAC requirement.
Our online traffic school program can be taken from any MAC or PC with online Internet access allowing you to
work at your own tempo. You can register for these Florida traffic school programs online through our
secure processing pages and forms. You'll read seven sections or chapters and then take a final test. Upon successfully
passing the final exam, we will send your completion certificate within 1 business day.

Traffic School | Reason for Attending |
Traffic Collision Avoidance Course (TCAC) | You were a driver in a crash and are found at fault and someone was transported to the hospital or you had two crashes in a two-year period, which resulted in property damage greater than $50. NOTE: TCAC is also BDI. |
Advanced Driver Improvement (ADI) | If your driver license was suspended in the state of Florida for points or as a habitual traffic offender (non-DUI related), or by court order, you must complete an advanced driver improvement course. |
Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) | If you receive a ticket for a non-criminal moving violation, and you do not hold a commercial driver license, you may elect to attend a basic driver improvement course in lieu of points on your driving record.
In some cases, you may choose to attend a basic driver improvement course to receive insurance discounts. This discount is solely at the discretion of your insurance company. |
Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) | If you have never held a regular driver license in any state, country, or jurisdiction, you must complete a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course before applying for a temporary driving permit (learner’s driver license) in the state of Florida. The driver education courses offered by some county school boards may substitute for this requirement. OR
If you are under 21 years old and receive a notice of suspension for driving with a BAL of .02 to .05, you must complete a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course in order to reinstate your driver license on a hardship basis. |
Red Light Course | You were convicted of running a traffic control device twice in a 12 month period. NOTE: Red Light Course is also BDI. |
Level I DUI School | You have one administrative suspension for driving with an unlawful BAL >.08 or refusing to submit to a breath test, with no prior administrative suspensions or DUI convictions.
Or you have one DUI conviction.
Or you have a suspension/revocation for providing alcohol to a minor and are seeking early reinstatement.
Or you are under 21 and have one suspension for unlawful BAL >.02, where your actual BAL was >.05. |
Level II DUI School | You have a second or subsequent administrative suspension for driving with an unlawful BAL >.08 or refusing to submit to a breath test.
Or you have a second or subsequent DUI conviction.
Or you are under 21 and have a second or subsequent suspension for unlawful BAL >.02, where your actual BAL was >.05. |

If your driver license was suspended in the state of Florida for points or as a habitual traffic offender (non-DUI related), or by court order, you must complete an advanced driver improvement course.
Note: If you hold a Florida driver license and receive a ticket for a moving violation in Arizona, the state of Arizona may withhold adjudication if you complete a state-approved advanced driver improvement course.
